Lawrenson blasted on Twitter

The Netherlands v Germany game was end-to-end, full of great goals, dodgy tackles, strops, basically everything entertaining about football, nothing to moan about.

 

Unless of course your name is Mark Lawrenson. The former Liverpool man is well-known for his withering putdowns and dry style, but his commentary during the second match of Wednesday really put the back up the Twittersphere

 

Lucky for Cristiano Ronaldo, Lawro wasn't commentating on the earlier Portugal v Denmark match. Then CR7 really would have had his head in his hands, while Lawrenson was putting his foot in his mouth.
