Black Caviar (PA)You would think winning at Royal Ascot would be enough for the racing fans.

But poor Black Caviar only just nosed the lead in the Diamond Jubilee stakes despite a massive build up to her celebrity appearance.

An ashen-faced jockey Luke Nolen was quick to say it was his fault he's eased off on the horse too soon. But trainer Peter Moody said she looked tired and he'd reconsider taking her abroad again from her native Oz - and he might even retire her.

Poor BC! She's only managed 22 wins out of 22. There's some sympathy for the old girl on Twitter

All this "disappointment" won't stop Aussie fans partying after watching the race in the middle of the night in Melbourne.
