A UK ticket holder has staked a claim to Friday night's £148.6 million EuroMillions jackpot, the National Lottery has announced.
A ticket bought somewhere in the country scooped the prize, making it the nation's second-largest lottery win ever.
It is just behind the £161 million Colin and Chris Weir, from Largs in North Ayrshire, landed last July in the EuroMillions.
The difference in the exchange rate means this week's jackpot was slightly less.
A National Lottery spokeswoman confirmed a ticket holder had come forward.
If the claim is validated, the prize could be paid out on Monday. It will be up to the ticket holder to decide whether to go public.
"It's amazing to have another big EuroMillions win in the UK - the seventh jackpot to be won here this year," said the National Lottery spokeswoman.
"We are looking forward to welcoming the ticket holder into our millionaires club, joining the 2,900 millionaires created by the National Lottery to date.
"In addition to the fantastic run of luck with big winners in 2012, EuroMillions players are also making a difference to communities across the UK, contributing to the £30 million raised every week for National Lottery Good Causes."
