The Tevez affair
Cast your mind back to 27th of September 2011 and a team that had dropped just two points in six games, scoring nineteen goals in the process, rocked up in Munich with another victory very much expected. What followed was not just a humbling process on the pitch, but a debilitating one next to it.We all know that Tevez refused to play; we all know that he didn't play again until last month, and we know that he improved his golf swing back home. What we can only speculate on is how the dressing room reacted to this betrayal, and how, after a hardline stance by their manager on the matter, the Italian's compromise affected the rest of the team. The circumstances surrounding it don't suggest that impact was positive.
