Medion will launch its latest cut-price supermarket PC in the UK later this month.
The Medion Akoya E6300 D, which will be sold exclusively at Aldi stores, is a desktop PC that includes a strong selection of features and also comes with a three-year warranty.
It will be available for £429.99 and will go on sale from Thursday July 23. As with Medion's other Aldi deals, this one is being offered on a 'while stocks last' basis.
Although it's being pitched as a 'back-to-school' PC, the E6300 looks capable of more than just standard homework tasks. Powered by an AMD Phenom X4 9650 Quad Core processor (2.3GHz) and packing an ATI Radeon HD4550 graphics card and 4GB of DDR2 SDRAM memory, we would expect it to be capable of reasonable gaming performance.
Among the stand-out features are a 640GB hard drive, DVD/CD burner and an HDMI and DVI output which enables users to use the unit as part of a high-definition entertainment set-up.
The E6300 will come packaged with Windows Vista Home Premium, though the package will include a voucher for a free upgrade to Windows 7.
